Samie Detzer

Samie is passionate about words and the right places to use them. She writes authentic, intelligent, and original copy to build meaningful personal connections and drive action. At Blue State, she has developed creative for email, SMS, paid media, direct mail, and web to power high-performing campaigns.

Before Blue State, Samie served as the Director of External Relations at a contemporary performance art venue, overseeing fundraising and marketing, and the Artistic Director of Washington Ensemble Theatre. She has been a volunteer speaker for the Planned Parenthood Speakers Bureau for the past four years, work that led her to testify before Congress in the aftermath of Roe’s reversal.
